Push Pier Training with ECP
At Earth Contact Products, we are committed to making sure that the contractors we work with not only have the best foundation repair products possible but also all of the training they need to make the installation as easy as possible. That includes training on ECP’s push piers, showing not just the actual mechanics of the installation but also all of the considerations and calculations that need to take place before the first pier is sunk.

Classroom Push Pier Training
During our seminars, the Earth Contact Products team of experts will walk you through each of the considerations you should make and the measurements you should take when using ECP’s steel push piers.
Among the topics covered are:
- Diagnosing foundation settlement
- Making load calculations.
- Understanding soil borings and how to use them in planning the installation of resistance piers.
- The differences between eccentric and concentric piers and when to use each.
- Calculating drive pressure and lift pressure before even arriving at the job site
- How high-pressure hydraulics work and what they can do
- How pressure gauges can be used to determine pounds
- What the effective area of a cylinder is used for

Job Site Training
We will also take you out to a job site and walk you through the step-by-step installation of our steel push piers.
Our expert technicians will demonstrate how to use each piece of equipment to prepare the area, sink the piers, and attach them to the foundation.
