Solar’s Bright Future is Made in America
Solar energy has a bright future in the United States. Solar panels and solar arrays are being installed by residential, business and utility customers across the nation. Increasingly, they want solar components Made in America.
According to research by SEPA (Smart Electric Power Alliance), the solar market grew by 20.1% in total capacity in 2018.

In total, 7.3 gigawatts of solar capacity was added in the United States in 2018. That’s the equivalent of more than 22.8 million solar panels.
The biggest growth area came from utilities investing in solar.
In 2018, there was a 15.1% increase in utility supply capacity. Growth in Flordia, Texas, and Minnesota was especially robust.
As consumers and utilities invest in solar energy, grants, loan financing and other special programs – including one offered by the USDA for renewable energy systems – offer financial benefits to building solar arrays.
However, on Jan. 22, 2018, the United States Federal government levied a 30% tariff on solar imports.
With the added expense of purchasing foreign-made products, buying American-made solar components is the smart choice.
ECP Products are American Made
ECP Utility, a company based in Olathe, Kansas, offers products Made in America with steel made and melted in the United States.
ECP meets all requirements to be labeled Buy American, American Made, Made in the USA and Made in America.

In the solar industry, ECP Utility’s One Step Foundation System is designed to be a one-step solution to solar panel foundations.
The One Step Helical pile is a tubular shaft anchor that is turned into the ground and once the correct depth and installation torque are achieved you are ready to install the solar panel frame.
There is no concrete, no digging of holes, no rebar and no soils to haul off.
The ECP One Step Solar Foundation System replaces traditional methods of installing solar bases with a more economical and greener footprint.
As the renewable energy field has grown, the use of helical anchors has grown also.
With remote locations and less-than-ideal site conditions, contractors have learned the benefits of ECP helical anchors.
Helical anchors by ECP are a proven success in allowing contractors to save time and money without disturbing the surrounding terrain and ecosystem.
Helical Ground Anchors are designed and sized to match load requirements, soil conditions, and available site access.
Multiple sizes and capacities allow precise designs for the solar industry.
ECP Utility’s One Step foundations are designed to resist wind loads and lateral forces while providing a strong foundation at the optimal height of installation
