At Earth Contact Products we are working every day to find and offer products that will help customers make ''going green'' easier while still being cost effective. As a result, from the founding of our company in 1998, we committed our company and resources to offering more eco-conscious steel foundation products and to make these items available at prices that make the choice an easy one. Our commitment to reducing our footprint on the planet does not end with simply selling more eco-conscious products. We also looked closely at both our personal and business practices and committed ourselves to operating as a green business by following the standard of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

You may not know it, but steel is the world's most recycled material. Each year more than 60 million tons of steel is recycled, more than double the amount of all other materials combined, including paper, glass, plastic, aluminum, and other metals.
Recycling steel saves energy and natural resources. In a year, the steel industry saves the equivalent energy to power about 18 million households for a year. When one ton of steel is recycled, 2500 pounds of iron ore, 1400 pounds of coal and 120 pounds of limestone are conserved. By making recycling integral to steelmaking, the steel industry leads the buy recycled effort. Each year, more than 62% of the steel the domestic industry produces is recycled.
