When it comes to foundation repair, Earth Contact Products (ECP) is "The Very Best” manufacturer in the industry. From our family of foundation repair products to our helical piles and tieback products, you can count on ECP to provide products that are Designed and Engineered to Perform.
Most foundation repairs results from soil-related problems: poor compaction, overloading, poor waterproofing, excessive organic materials, erosion or expansive soils that expand and shrink with changes in the moisture content of the soil. These conditions can produce stresses that damage a home's foundation and overall structure. Underpinning your home with quality foundation repair products will insure the integrity of your foundation, whether it is a crawl space, slab on grade or a basement made of poured concrete or block.
The following foundation repair products are manufactured in Kansas by ECP. We are very proud to be a Made in the USA manufacturer / fabricator of helical piers, resistance piers, wall anchors and helical tieback anchors and only supply these products to our national network of foundation repair contractors.
Steel Piers
Steel resistance piers are an excellent choice for structural foundation repairs on settling foundations. Most foundation repairs are caused by organic soils, shrinking and swelling clays, poor compaction, improper footer embedment, and erosion. The function of steel push pier is the support and stabilization of your structure’s load bearing walls by transferring the weight of the structure from weaker soils onto the steel piers that are driven deep to load bearing soils.
Helical Piers
Helical piers have been in use for the stabilization of foundations since the early 1800’s. Today, helical piers and helical piles are one of the two most common types of structural underpinning devices for residential foundation repair applications in use today. Helical piers are an excellent choice for foundation repair and stabilization when light structural loads, unstable rock basements or very deep load bearing layers are present.
Helical Tieback Anchor
Helical Tiebacks are designed to stabilize and strengthen bowing basement walls. Tieback anchors have engineer verifiable loading capacities. These helical anchors are generally installed from inside the basement wall through a small hole that is sealed and repaired after installation. With exterior excavation, basement or crawl space walls can be immediately pulled back to original design limitations.
Plate Anchors
Wall Anchors are the most economical method for providing supplemental lateral force to stabilize bowing basement and retaining walls. Their simple and effective design allows foundation repair installers to complete jobs quickly. Minimal disturbance to landscaping is one of the many benefits of wall plate anchors. Though simple, the setup and design becomes very critical due original wall excavations and should only be performed by a trained foundation repair contractor.
Hydraulic Lift Slab Pier
Slab push piers are a unique type of resistance pier for homes and commercial buildings on concrete slabs. These slender steel slab piers use the weight of the slab and surrounding structure to resist the force of the pier pipe that is driven to a load bearing soil layer. The ECP Hydraulic Lift Slab Pier, Model 166 is designed and engineered to support concrete slab on grade construction for many years to come.
