Earth Contact Products (ECP) Crawlspace Vapor Barrier and Encapsulation products are designed to stop water from move into living spaces and stop ground moisture from rotting wood in crawlspaces. Vapor barriers are a key component to waterproofing basements and crawlspaces.
Keeping crawlspaces clean and dry is very important. We have all seen crawlspaces and most of us do not want to enter them due to the way they look and smell. Most of this is due to the amount of moisture that has collected and is resting in a dark space. Mold grows, insects and rodent hide and mold flourishes. Once a crawlspace is sealed (encapsulated) moisture and humidity levels can be controlled and a clean bright surface is available for storage.
The ECP CSVP products offer an excellent water and water vapor barrier along with superior puncture resistance. This triple-ply, virgin polyethylene membrane is a woven material that will stand up to years of use without tearing or deteriorating. It is white in color to brighten up crawlspaces and make any work done in the space cleaner and easier.

Crawlspace Waterproofing
Crawlspaces often require more than just vapor barriers to provide a clean and dry environment under a home. Interior and exterior drain systems will move water away from the foundation and can be either daylighted or directed to a sump pump and pit. Interior drainage systems such as the ECP drain pipe provide a consistent path for excessive water to move in and be diverted to a sump pump system which will pump the water well away from the home. Whether using the ECP rigid drain system or the Poly Drain you can be sure that the water will be collected and safely conveyed away from the home.
The ECP Sump Basin is ideally suited for crawlspaces. The unique design will draw water from the soil and when combined with an ECP sump pump system, the water will be pumped away. The ECP Sump Basin comes standard with a clear water tight lid that will keep soil gases and moisture from permeating inside the crawlspace.
